It was clear that giving back to the community is very important to students from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Eastern Virginia Career College who were out in force recently, participating as technicians in the CarFit program at AAA in Central Park. CarFit is a free, interactive and educational program that teaches participants how to make their car "fit" them to increase safety and mobility when they drive—this is not a driving test or mechanical inspection.Z
AAA Traffic Safety Educator Haley Glynn explained that one big reason AAA provides this service is for senior drivers. "This service is great for all drivers, but it’s especially important to help seniors learn the safety features of their car since their bodies may be frail and more prone to injury in the event of an accident."
