3 Credit Hours
Through a lens of cultural identities and diversity, students will explore the modes of discourse by reading and analyzing contemporary critical discourse.
English 111 will guide students through invention, research, writing, and revision methods to develop rhetorical skills, including description, narration, explanation, analysis, and documentation.
Students completing this course should compose descriptive, researched, and documented essays (of at least 1,000 words) demonstrating the conventions of standard written English and manuscript presentation.
