ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY II
4 Credit Hours (Lecture 3 credits; Lab 1 credit)
This lecture and lab course builds on topics covered in BIO 141 and will focus on the structure and function of the human body from a body systems perspective.
Students preparing for the health professions will continue their understanding of maintaining the body, regulating the body, the biological process, and disease mechanisms for application in nursing and allied health courses.
Topics include the lymphatic, digestive, urinary, endocrine, reproductive systems, and physiological balance within the human body. The culmination of this course consists of an epidemiology project about current public health issues seen in healthcare today.
The laboratory component is presented in class and online using active learning and online technology. Prerequisite: BIO 141
